Internationally renowned artist, Christian Develter - a ‘Global Nomad’ who uses his canvas to portray his rich experiences of people and cultures from around the world – collaborates with high end Cambodian Boutique Hotel SUN & MOON, Phnom Penh.

Each of the hotel’s colourful artsy rooms includes one of Develter iconic Limited-Edition Lithographs, serving as a contemporary pop of artistic inspiration in each of the rooms. As part of the collaboration Develter signature limited-edition archival lithographs are available for purchase through the hotel’s beautiful boutique store and online available with complimentary shipping options to clients globally.

This exciting local collaboration was born as a result of Christian’s wish to give back and support Cambodia as it reopens post covid in the country he fondly calls home. Christian’s own studio is nestled amongst the sprawling paddy fields in Siem Reap and is where he retreats to create when not traveling for global shows.

Develter’s world acclaimed works are housed in some of the most spectacular properties and art collections around the world including that of Royalty. His iconic works are also on permanent display in legendary hotels around the globe including the Copacabana Palace Hotel - Rio, The Mandarin Oriental - Bangkok, The Raffles Grand Hotel - Angkor Wat, Kimpton Maa Lai – Bangkok.

In a further effort to support the reopening of Cambodia Develter has just opened his new riverside gallery at the prestigious FCC in Siem Reap beside the royal palace. The iconic space brings together a full comprehensive collection and immersive experience to view all of Christian’s internationally acclaimed signature works from his Original Oil Painting, Limited Edition Lithograph Collections and Sculptural Series created here in this ancient cultural metropolis of Cambodia.

As a highly versatile artist whose work pushes boundaries, he believes that despite cultural differences and starkly different socio-realities, there are moments that can be appreciated by everyone. These moments are the trigger of his inspiration. The inspiration from Develter’s Chin Series presented at SUN & MOON comes from the intricately tattooed faces of the Chin women located in the North-Western region of Myanmar. The concept behind the works being the Modern Asian Urban Faces of today, overlayed with the tribal tattoos of where we have come from - grounding us back to our cultural roots and heritage. This striking collection of work is an invitation to explore the artist’s contemporary narrative of evolving cultures through his district creative style.
