‘When Everything Was Free’ Series
2020 - This series was born within the pandemic period.
“Art was and is always my sweet spot. In these challenging times I struggle to find some peaceful moments to create. My thoughts keep wondering to exotic foreign lands where I mainly felt carefree. Trying to convey on to the canvas pure moments, free spirit moments, like there is nothing happening outside. Concentrating on the strength of family, the purity of children, the joy of colors and freedom in the moment.” - Noemi Safir
‘Spring’ Series
2018 - 2020
“From time to time I get to meet these angels. Some write me inspiring and empowering words, others cross my path just in the right moment and some are just there to make me feel and love. In this series I painted these guardian angels, beautiful women, who look over me in an interested and proud way, observing the steps I take in life without judging me, curious on what my next move would be.” - Noemi Safir
‘Faces of Beauty’ Series
2017 - 2014
“The day I started living from my heart everything changed.
The characters I drew in this series are based mostly on anonymous faces which, in the process of painting, receive an identity, become a part of me, adopt moments from my path to search my own place and contribution in this world. The pieces are dealing with so many layers which today's modern women need to cope, take exceptional decisions, find unconditional love, letting go and releasing of the past and of the fears, create a new future, feel complete and peaceful, look from the inside to the outside.
I love that the viewer is trying to understand the women's gaze, what is the emotion there? Who is she? Does it matter? There is a freedom to invent a new story. The creation of life and reality as the creation of the painting
My goal is to inspire and empower other women to follow their dreams, to have a passionate vision, to believe in their selves.” - Noemi Safir
‘Urban Painting’ Series
2016 - 2014
These series is composed of "Back from Provence" and "Tel Aviv stories"
"Back from Provence" was born after I returned from Monte-Carlo, where I participated in my first international art exhibition
While traveling all of south of France I got to experience breathtaking views, refreshing air, endless golden beaches, towns that seem to have been copied from Van Gogh's paintings, wonderful flavors and people who intensified my experience and left a deep mark on me.
The paintings in "Tel-Aviv stories" series show my endless love for this city. I wanted to express its different colorful layers, the life it holds, the beautiful sea and beaches, the variety of people. I wanted to give it more power through color, to convey my interpretation to a scene, to deal with reality in a new way. - Noemi Safir
