Elements Collection
Elements by Gaya presents a unique signature collection of handcraftED limited edition sculptures inspired to create balance, peace and harmony in any space. The flagship collection draws on the foundations of nature along with the fundamental elements that make up the beautiful world we live in, forming the basis of feng shui.
Spirit - An amalgamation of all techniques and all materials used in the four elements, this spirit sculpture speaks to its connection to all. Gold luster applied casually as well as in a single circular halo-like shape, elevates that collective consciousness to a new level.
Water - Reminiscent of the shores of Bali's coastline, the pure white porcelain of this sculpture is dotted with fine volcanic sand granules and accented with a sea green splash of celadon glaze.
Fire - A texture of flame-like ripples cuts across the surface of this closed form and gives highlight to the copper matte reduction glaze – an alchemy of direct contact with fire to create an entire rainbow of molten hues and tones.
Earth - Multiple clay bodies swirl together in this sculpture to create the striations of natural rock sedimentation; likewise, the lustrous quality of a variety of oxides, brushed loosely, are brought to their metallic height through the reduction firing process.
Air - Clear blue-teal celadon glaze sits like a glassy skylight over the cloud-like surface of a porcelain engobe, gesturally applied over the faintly deeper stoneware clay under-body of this ethereal form.
