artist statement and inspiration

"The ghostly silhouettes created using pointillism techniques gives us the option to place the painting to the right or the other way around.

Woman and Man always in a fight, or balanced at the helm.

The premeditated fight between the two sexes offers us the possibility that we can be in the same place without one being above or below the other.

Based on their positions and placement with the tension between both internal and external forces, they are complimentary - a concept of balance and compensation.

The theme of gender equality is entirely fundamental to the work and in life, since it is necessary to advance and find harmony in our world.

Recognizing that both men and women are part of a whole on the same plane makes us grow as individuals in society. We are born with a different gender and different physical characteristics, however, these differences only exist on the physical plane. At the molecular and spiritual level, we are equal.

The idea of rivalry and competition disappears.
