artist statement and inspiration

Starry sky, Confetti, Celebrations, Dreams,

The dance of life that this is;

The burst of light and flavour,

The scent of spices and people,

Leads to rumblings in my belly,

Such is the celebration of life, 

A Dancer’s light.

This series is inspired by the lush tropical greens and colourful, vibrant flora that I grew up surrounded with in a small town called Subang Jaya in Malaysia.
