The timeline of Carlos’s creative process with its triumphs, struggles, chaos and order are encapsulated in the final piece, making each organic one of kind artworks so expressive & energetic.

“Art must speak to the viewer, no matters who…” "it must look alive in transition" - Carlos M. L.

Carlos thinks as an architect when he creates his artwork, bring an emotional & physical experience to the viewer, like architecture, his work needs to be experienced.  Most of the materials and techniques used by Carlos to produce his work belongs to the construction & architectural universe. He considers these techniques intuitive and the materials sustainable. Carlos often reuses materials & parts from previous creative experiments to create new work adding to the story behind each piece where you can find art within art.  Similar to the likes of old buildings, you can see layers of history in his artwork giving each piece inimitable character and soul.
